The intent of this design is to create a warm, eclectic, environment that not only encourages creativity but is also ideal for entertaining. Maximizing storage is crucial due to the space's small overall footprint, so the design incorporates various built in storage spaces throughout both levels.
Every wall either serves as additional storage or space for the client's art collection to be displayed. By pairing the buildings' industrial architectural features with modern furnishings, and an optimized layout for socializing, the design is able to fulfill the client's aesthetic requests while also addressing their storage and social needs.
The inspiration boards included show how overtime the design process develops into the final product. While some things need changed for practical purposes, most of the aesthetic elements were able to remain intact for this project.
The initial floorplans were developed in Fall 2023 and after developing a fondness for the project as well as learning new rendering techniques I decided to revisit the plans and fully bring the project to life over the Summer of 2024.
