The 3D Purple Paper project's goal was to find everyday patterns and shapes and transform them into 3D abstract forms. I took inspiration from a produce bag and created sand dollar adjacent forms that are layered within each other. I also took inspiration from the air plants in my mother's home to create the spiky forms. Overall, the forms came together into a tidal pool esque scene.
The Color Wheel project's goal was to get us familiar with different shades and tints of the color wheel while also helping us improve our overall craft. I choose to do a Mandala inspired color wheel and each shape was meticulously hand cut from paper.
For the Cultural Bass Relief, we researched a specific culture and took colors and shapes from their culture and made them into an abstraction of sorts. I chose to do the Netherlands and have various abstracted forms most notably, the tulip and windmill in the center.
